Probate Case Study

Australian Probate

Solicitors from Victoria instruct us to apply for a re-sealing of the Australian Grant to enable shareholdings registered in England to be transferred to beneficiaries or sold. We prepare the required Capital Taxes Return which is required to be filed with Revenue Authorities irrespective of the size of the estate. With the authority of the Australian executors the Grant can be re-sealed. Through our associates in the Republic of Ireland and the Isle of Man we are able to apply for the required Grants  to deal with other assets maintained. Wherever possible we try to provide a one-stop service, especially when dealing with different time zones.

  Irish Probate

We are instructed by solicitors in Donnybrook in the Republic of Ireland to act in the administration of a substantial estate where the deceased died resident in England. The estate is valued in excess of £1,000,000 and the deceased died a recluse intestate with no immediate family. We are required to advertise for creditors within this jurisdiction and to instruct our Title Research agents to establish the whereabouts of any Will. We are responsible for submitting the required Capital Taxes Return maintaining Irish domicile resulting in substantial savings in Inheritance Tax.
